Mountain mama - embarking on a different journey

It sure has been a busy autumn so far, with lots of changes and new challenges. And loads of fun. I need to catch up. But, before that, a brief summary: Before summer holidays my husband left his job at the big Bank - the reason why we moved to Manila in the first place. We've once again packed up our house and moved. This time from Manila and this mega chaos of a city that we little by little have learned to enjoy - if not yet love - during the last year. But not too far. Actually, just up the hill. To Beverly Hills (!) in Antipolo to be exact. About twenty five minutes east of where we used to be (when there's no traffic; why is there always traffic?!?). But it is up in the mountains, technically out in the province (Rizal), and cows have been spotted on neighboring empty lots. The air is cleaner and we have an infinity pool overlooking Manila. On clear days kids can spot their school from the play room windows. And it certainly is embarking on a different journey. With no idea where it will take us, it seems to be moving forward, little by little. As wise men and women use to say, it's all about the journey not the destination. So, do come travel with me!

Here, a few pics of what our new place looked like when we moved in a couple of months ago - but after we did the first makeover, like removing two third of all furniture and taking a tiny bit of control over the ridiculously overgrown garden.

Night time.

And not exactly a surprise that we spend most of our time out on the lanai.
